For me, Mysticism is simply defined as “living my life in awareness of our inextricable Unity with the Divine,” and as a Christian Mystic, I have found hope and healing through Jesus Christ.
I define myself first as a “Mystic,” with the modifier of “Christian” giving an indication of my background and the point of view that I am more likely to understand and to share from. Were I to have been born in a different country where Christianity is less common, I’d likely be a Mystic of a different religious flavor. So I respect and appreciate everyone’s connection with God and with their expression of that connection, regardless of which religious belief system they most closely align with, and no matter what Name/s, Title/s, or descriptions they use to give expression to God. And I willingly learn from those of all faiths who, like me, believe in Divine Source by any name or title.
