Emptiness

Come all who thirst, and drink. Come all who are heavy burdened, and rest.” Jesus

We usually put the emphasis on the latter (the drink and the rest), but the importance of the former (the thirst and the burdens) should not be understated or reduced.

We will never seek to be satisfied until we are first unsatisfied. We will never seek to be filled, unless we are first hungry. We will never seek to drink, unless we are first thirsty.

Dissatisfaction is the agent of growth.

We must be emptied before we can be filled.
