God in Our Image

I have often struggled with perfectionism—the desire to "get it all right" by whatever elusive religious standard may be present, real or imagined—because I was afraid of what would happen if I got anything wrong. This is a trauma response, I now realize, that had been beaten into me beginning at the age of two… Continue reading God in Our Image

Refiner’s Fire

A little more than a year ago, I was unexpectedly given a vision of Hell, and in many ways, it wasn't what I'd expected. Certain aspects, yes, but there were several things that surprised me. I've been a little hesitant to write about this, because so many visions of Hell that people have claimed to have had are really in many ways just projections of their own fears or convoluted beliefs about God's nature, and to claim to have a vision of Hell feels to me to be a bit sensationalized or overly dramatic, which is a turn-off in my opinion. But as skeptical of a mystic as I am (an odd combination to be sure, but it's actually a good balance to have), I think it's the right time to share about what I was shown.

Meeting Mary

Happy Feast Day of Mary Magdalene! 😊❤ In the charismatic churches I grew up in, we never really celebrated Feast Days, aside from the main ones that were Christianized, Protestantized, and tweaked even further to suit our charismatic palette, such as Easter (also known as Feast of First Fruits, among other things), so at this… Continue reading Meeting Mary

The Two Sides of Me

Through the Eyes of Faith

June 28th, 2022 "On Earth [that is to say, those who see with the physical eyes], seeing is believing. In the Kingdom of God [those who see with the eyes of the Spirit], believing is seeing. By 'believing' it is meant to be understood not as a mere system of beliefs [which falters and fails… Continue reading Through the Eyes of Faith

Energy Circles Revisited

Last year, on July 25th, I wrote about an unusual experience I had. I wrote about it in this blog post, but here's a slightly condensed version of what happened: <Beginning of excerpt> As is customary for me, I had awakened and was having a hard time going back to sleep, so I started talking… Continue reading Energy Circles Revisited

Energy Circles

July 25th, 2021 I had a most unusual experience early this morning, when it was still dark. As is customary for me, I had awakened and was having a hard time going back to sleep, so I started talking to— well, even after many years, I'm still not sure if one would call him a… Continue reading Energy Circles

Spirit Guides and the Light of Christ

June 21st, 2021 This morning, Jesus and Balthazar walked me through an exercise to clear my pathways with the Light of Christ so that the Light can more freely flow through me. It was made clear to me that there are -- and will continue to be, to various degrees -- obstacles that hinder the… Continue reading Spirit Guides and the Light of Christ
